Adam-I-Echo Studio

Simply put, this project has been a non-profit, learn-as-I-go, act of love from the beginning.

The studio was conceived, built, and hand-wired point-to-point without assistance. Gear was selected to fit developing creative needs, arising over the span of the last 18 years.

For each instrument; for each processor in-house, several were acquired, modified, repaired and sent back out to the world of professionals and amateurs alike.

What you see before you is a rendering of what particularly spoke to me as an artist; The tools that I find myself coming back to time-and-time again, when the call to create wells up from inside.

All that aside, I hope that the music made here moves you as much as has moved me.

Production

Every piece on this website begins with an image of a memory, a perceived future, or an intense feeling evoked by the here-and-now.

Custom effects containing networks of pitch shifters and multi-tap delays are programmed to generate particular frequencies, along with highly customized, oddly-tuned, niche instruments (such as: Bass VI, Electric XII, Coral Sitar, and Sparkle-Jet) feathered one over another,  creating a tapestry of different textures expressing elaborate sensations through sound, and offer a unique experience that immerses the avid listener.

These layers are recombined until the intended image is clearly visible to me on playback.

Some have ludicrously high track counts (2014's, "World Outside" topped out at 797!), others have remarkably low ones ("Later That Day" is comprised of only 3 stereo stems).

The longest It has taken to complete one of my a songs has been 2 years...
The shortest?... 1 Day.

Thankfully this music is made on my own time, so there is zero pressure to turn out material that I am indifferent towards.

Working with Others...

From time to time, an artist or a band comes along that would like me to produce their single or album...

Though I've occasionally done so, this is still a side-bit for me, and I am quite selective when it comes to taking on any outside work due to personal time constraints.

Before committing to my time to another project, it is essential for me to first speak with the artist directly, to see if we share a common vision for the final product.

This assures that nothing is done in the sole interest of accumulating fiat currency, but rather to create something meaningful and enduring..
